Ghana Investment Promotion Centre

The Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) is a Government agency, responsible under the GIPC Act, 2013 (Act 865): to encourage and promote investments in Ghana, to provide for the creation of an attractive incentive framework and a transparent, predictable and facilitating environment for investments in Ghana.

Among others, the following can be clearly identified as functions performed by the Parliament of Ghana:Legislative; Financial; Oversight of the Executive; Representational; Deliberative.

Ministry of Trade and Industry

The Ministry of Trade & Industry is the lead policy advisor to government on trade, industrial and private sector development with responsibility for the formulation and implementation of policies for the promotion, growth and development of domestic and international trade and industry. The Ministry is also the advocate for the private sector within government and is the principal agency responsible for monitoring and implementing the Government’s private sector development programmes and activities.

Ghana Export Promotion Authority

The Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA) is the National Export Trade Support Institution of the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MOTI) responsible for the facilitation, development and promotion of Ghanaian exports. It was established by Act 396 in 1969 as an agency of the Ministry of Trade and Industry with the mandate to develop and promote Ghanaian exports. Our focus has primarily been to diversify Ghana’s export base from the traditional Gold and other unprocessed minerals, Cocoa Beans, Timber Logs and Lumber.

Ministry of Finance

The Ministry of Finance (MoF) is one of the central management agencies of the civil service of Ghana. The Ministry used to be known as Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning. However, the planning function was ceded to the National Development Planning Commission in view of Article 87 of the 1992 Constitution.

The Ministry was established under section 11 & 13 of the Civil Service Law 1993(PNDCL 327) and amended by an Executive instrument 28(E.I 28) Civil Service (Ministries) (Amendment instrument,2017) to ensure effective and efficient Macroeconomic and financial management of Ghana’s economy.

Registrar General's Department

The Registrar General’s Department was established under the Ordinance 1950 during the Colonial days. It became a department of the Ministry of Justice and Attorney General in 1961.

Our aim is to become a highly progressive department that efficiently serves it customers by becoming a highly strategic partner to businesses and stakeholders.

We are also mandated by the Government to ensure an efficient and effective administration of entities inter –alia the registration of businesses, industrial property, marriages, administration of estates, and public trustees, to provide customer friendly services and accurate data for national planning.
