DPS International Ghana stages unity in diversity festival
Delhi Public School International (DPSI) Ghana has staged a festival dubbed “Unity in Diversity”. The fun-filled event was part of activities celebrating Ghana’s 67th Independence anniversary.
Dignitaries such as the Chief Imam, the head of the Muslim community in Ghana; Chief of Mlistakpo; and celebrities such as Stacey Amoateng; Selly Galley; Kobby Rana; Aunty Cecilia; Catel Big J and many more graced the event.
The festival featured a variety of activities including traditional and modern Ghanaian arts, fashion, food, music and dance, and games.
The aim of the event, according to officials, was to give the students the opportunity to learn about and appreciate Ghanaian cultural heritage. Some of the activities included the display of the Kpanlogo, Apatampa, and the Agbadza dance.
There was a fashion show where students took to the runway, displaying African beads from “beadnbead”.
Others performed skits and enacted Ghana’s declaration of independence by ‘The Big Six”.
Praye Tietia, DopeNation, and others provided entertaining performances.
